Lin Fraser, EdD

Dr. Lin Fraser has an EdD in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco, an M.A. in Counseling from San Francisco State and a B.A. in Psychology from Duke.

In addition to her general psychotherapy practice, she has developed an international reputation as a leading expert in transgender identity issues. She currently serves as the immediate Past President of WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health). She is on the Standards of Care Committee with responsibilities for developing revised standards for adult psychotherapy and web-based care. She is also on the editorial board of the International Journal of Transgenderism and is co-chair of WPATH’s Global Education Initiative.

She is licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT8288) and as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC 1816) in California and is certified as a National Certified Counselor (NCC17402). She is also certified as a Distance Credentialed Counselor (DCC553) and is trained in online therapy.

She has been in private practice in the same location for over 35 years. Compatible with her extensive international background and facility with cross-cultural issues, many of her clients identify as expats or are bicultural.
